The canvas appears original. There is an Artist's pinhole to the centre of the extreme lower edge, and further instances to the canvas overlap with a few tiny frame abrasions to the extreme edges, with one or two associated very small specks of loss, not visible in the present frame. There are very faint stretcher bar marks to the upper and lower edges, with some fine lines of associated craquelure. There are a few instances of extremely fine lines of craquelure including to the path and in the sky in the upper left quadrant, mostly only visible upon close inspection. There are remnants of what is probably framing tape to the left and right canvas overlaps, not visible in the present frame. There are one or two rubs towards the lower edge of the work. There is some slight dirt to the paint surface and some scattered specks of surface matter. This excepting, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Inspection under Ultraviolet light inspection appears to reveal a few areas of fluorescence, however, these do not appear to be retouching or restoration.
The work is held in a canvas slip in a gold painted wooden frame under glass.
