Khoai in Bengali refers to a geological formation specifically in Birbhum and Bankura districts of West Bengal in India. The beauty of khoai has been documented in the literary and visual history of the region. Rabindranath Tagore eternalized khoai in his writings, whilst famous artists Nandalal Bose, Ramkinkar Baij, Benode Behari Mukherjee and Gopal Ghose depicted khoai in their art.
