the bulbous body supported by a slightly splayed foot and surmounted by a straight neck, the body decorated with large lotus blossoms with scrolling foliage, inscribed in gilt and iron-red the character shuangxi (double happiness), the neck with ruyi-head lappets

(vase) height 13 ¾ in.; 34.9 cm

Drilled. Minor 1 inch haircrack to neck. Not inspected unmounted but appears to be otherwise in good condition.
