Padparadscha Sapphire and Diamond Ring
Of foliate design, centering a cushion-cut padparadscha sapphire weighing 22.85 carats, the leaves accented with round diamonds, size 6, signed Tiffany Schlumberger, numbered 2820.
Accompanied by AGL report no. 1089324 dated December 13, 2017 stating the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
In good condition, the mounting with scratches and small nicks commensurate with wear, and one leaf motif with evidence of repair, not noticeable when worn. Mounting tests as 18 karat gold and platinum. Signed Tiffany Schlumberger, numbered 2820. The padparadscha sapphire is medium orangy pink, moderately included with crystals under the table, with some reflecting within the stone when viewed at certain angles. Remnant of old sizing band on shank interior. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.00 carats, are approximately G-I color, VS clarity. Please note that the ring size in the catalogue description is approximate due to the slightly out-of-round shank.
