Black Opal, Diamond, Ruby and Sapphire 'Clover' Necklace
Composed of variously shaped black opals, centering a clover-shaped black opal, decorated with marquise-shaped rubies and sapphires, further embellished with round near-colorless diamonds and diamonds of yellow hue, internal circumference 15 inches, with maker's mark, numbered 601857. With signed box.
Accompanied by an illustrated sketch of the necklace and a Certificate of Authenticity dated December 2010 from Oscar Heyman & Brothers.Please note that the diamonds of yellow hue have not been tested for natural origin of color.
In very good condition, with very minor wear to the metal work not visible when worn. Stamped 18K and Irid.Plat for 18 karat gold and platinum. The variously-shaped carved and cabochon-cut black opals collectively stated to weigh approximately 148.55 carats, with medium to dark body tone, quite uniformly strong and predominantly blue and green play-of-color with several stones additionally showing orange-red and two of deep blue, the play-of-color in variously-sized patterns. The 28 round diamonds stated to weigh approximately 2.80 carats, of F-G color and VS clarity; the 28 round yellow diamonds weighing 1.84 carats, of strong saturation and VS clarity. The 30 marquise-shaped rubies stated to weigh approximately 12.70 carats, strongly saturated slightly purplish red and high clarity. The 26 marquise-shaped sapphires stated to weigh 10.45 carats, moderately dark to dark tone, strongly saturated blue color and high clarity. Accompanied by an illustrated sketch of the necklace. Further accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity dated December 2010 from Oscar Heyman & Brothers. Please note that the diamonds of yellow hue have not been tested for natural origin of color.
