A Superb Emerald and Diamond Ring
Featuring a square emerald-cut emerald weighing 21.86 carats, flanked by baguette diamonds, the mounting further highlighted with single-cut diamonds, size 4¼, signed Cartier, numbered 43-19991.
In good condition, the mounting with evidence of wear including light surface scratches, noticeable only upon close inspection. Mounting is stamped 750 for 18 karat gold. The emerald is a richly saturated medium deep slightly bluish green, slightly included with a few surface reaching inclusions, and the girdle bearing a chip and a few nicks, noticeable under 10x magnification. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.45 carats, are approximately G-H color, VVS-VS clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1106182 dated January 20, 2020 stating that the emerald is of Classic Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: minor, type: traditional. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 112300 dated February 11, 2020 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: minor, type: traditional. Together with a letter stating that "a natural emerald from Colombia of this size and quality can be considered rare and exceptional."
