Angus Davidson

Holleyman & Treacher, Brighton

Private Collection USA

The present work is the view of the back of the farmyard at Charleston, Sussex, and was in the collection of the writer and translator Angus Davidson (1898-1980), a great friend of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant. After his death, his library and collection were sold by Holleyman and Treacher of Brighton, where Davidson spent his last years.

We are grateful to Richard Shone for his kind assistance with the cataloguing of the present work.
