Composed of six rows of spinel beads, highlighted with a carved ruby clasp stated to weigh approximately 18.01 carats, surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds, shortest row measuring approximately 440mm, signed MdV for Michele della Valle, Italian maker's mark and assay mark for gold.

Signed MdV for Michele della Valle. Italian assay mark for 18 carat gold, and Italian maker's mark. Spinels stated to weigh a total of approximately 320 - 330 carats, medium-strong saturation, well matched in colour, minor chips and nicks, some with surface-reaching inclusions. Ruby stated to weigh approximately 18.01 carats pinkish-red of medium saturation with typical inclusions, some surface-reaching. Diamonds stated to weigh a total of approximately 1.10 - 1.30 carats, H-I colour, VS clarity. Condition as new. Total approximate weight 72 grams. Central bead measuring approximately 3.30mm.
