Each woodblock print, from the series from the series A Collection of Plays Old and New (Kokon Joruri zukushi), each signed Hiroshige ga, published by Sanoya Kihei (Kikakudo), comprising:

- Osome and Hisamatsu in Somemoyo Imose no Kadomatsu, censor's seals Hama (Hama Yahei) and Kinugasa (Kinugasa Fusajiro), circa 1849-50

- Ashikaga Yorikane in Meiboku Sendai Hagi, censor's seals Yoshimura (Yoshimura Gentaro) and Muramatsu (Muramatsu Genroku), circa 1847-1848
