L'iconographie de cette figure permet de l'identifier comme la grand-mère de toutes les Kachina, Hahai-I Wuhti. Le croissant de lune sur son front, apanage des figures féminines, les deux demis-cercles sur les joues, symbole d'amitié, et la pélérine décorée de grains de maïs font de cette figure l'une des plus importante du panthéon Hopi.


S'ajoute l'archaïsme de la figure qui se retrouve tant dans sa position - jambes légérement fléchies et avant bras repliés sur le bas-ventre - que dans l'utilisation des pigments noirs, blancs et ocres. Cette œuvre peut ainsi être datée de la fin du XIXe siècle.
