Claude Picasso has confirmed the authenticity of this work.

The collage elements are all stable. A sheet of beige colored paper has been adhered to a secondary sheet of black paper at the upper left and upper right corners of its verso. Black sheet: Two nailhead sized holes to the lower left corner and one to the lower right corner. Scattered stains across the sheet, possibly inherent to the medium. A curved 1/2 inch tear and a minor 1/4 inch tear, both to the lower right corner. Two nicks to the center of the left edge. A crease extending across the lower left corner. Some time staining to the exposed areas of the sheet, where the beige sheet has been removed by the artist. Beige sheet: Some light time staining. Minor pindot stains to the lower left and lower right corners. Some minor abrasion and accretions to the upper left and upper right corners and at a few spots along the top edge, likely due to a previous mounting. A few scattered flattened creases. Some tears to the holes in the sheet, all inherent to the artist's process. This work is in good condition.
