Framed: 35 by 51¼ in. (89 by 130 cm)
Painted in 1963.
Alexis Brasilier has confirmed the authenticity of this work.
The work is in very good condition. The canvas is not lined. The canvas is undulating, most notably towards the corners. There is some accretion of fiber or hair along the center of the lower edge. There is some paint shrinkage in the blacks and dark blue pigments on the horses. The surface is richly textured. Under UV light, some areas of varnish fluoresce but no inpainting is apparent.
