In 1996 Vacheron Constantin released the Overseas which replaced the 222. It was also in this year that Vacheron Constantin was purchased by Richemont. The Overseas was built around a tonneau-shaped case with a fluted bezel, very reminiscent of the Malte Cross. The case is 37 mm in diameter and water resistant to 150 metres. This example has been retained in excellent condition and is seldom seen on the market.
