In 2006, Patek Philippe launched the reference 5960 in a luxurious platinum case with a grey dial and an alligator strap. The pink gold version followed suit three years later, as Patek Philippe introduced their own seal to replace the traditional Geneva Seal. The same year, the platinum version was re-launched with a blue dial, while the grey version would be discontinued.
