The Portugieser Automatic 2000 was first introduced in 2000 to celebrate the new millennium. Equipped with the IWC's patented Pellaton winding mechanism, the watch could be wound when the rotor swings in either direction. Shock-resistant and antimagnetic, the watch furthermore provides a staggering 168 hours of power reserve, roughly seven days, as shown on the power reserve indication.
