Introduced at SIHH in 2015 this Exotourbillon reference 7353 utilises Montblanc's inhouse calibre and tourbillon carriage.  The Exotourbillon was designed to save energy and improve accuracy by enlarging the balance wheel and setting it outside of the tourbillon cage which has been reduced in size. The balance spring however remains within the tourbillon cage and not integrated, as is most usually seen, with the wheel. The combined effect is a tourbillon carriage that wastes 30% less energy than its more traditionally constructed counterparts. 

In addition this watch is fitted with a mono-pusher minute chronograph and date indication.  All in all this is an impressively affordable piece of haute horology and a perfect starting point for those with a penchant for the technical and the complicated.
