Greubel Forsey

Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey have been working together for nearly two decades in a relationship founded on their shared technical creativity. In 1999 they began working together on a new concept of tourbillon and in 2004 launched their own company based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, stunning the world of horological aficionados with their innovative timepieces which clearly demonstrate their twin goals of invention and excellence. Specializing in exquisite and exceptional levels of precision timekeeping their continued innovations are each considered a work of watchmaking art.

Created as a limited edition to honour their first invention, the Double Tourbillon 30˚, and to continue with their quest pushing the boundaries of creativity even further, the Invention Piece One took four years of research to create. Making the Double Tourbillon 30˚ to the center-piece of the dial, the inventive partners were able to combine minute and hours within the tourbillon structure providing both a practical and aesthetic display. The unusual depth of the movement to hold the tourbillon cage creates a not only an exceptional timekeeper but also work of art. Presented at auction, this example is number 3 from an edition of only 11 made.
