Founded in 1847, the storied firm of Cartier has dominated the luxury market with its visionary designs and well crafted masterpieces. Although well known for their sophisticated and often elaborate designs, it is rare to see an example such as the present piece that combines a decoratively enamelled case with a chronograph complication.
Cartier formed partnerships with other elite institutions outside the world of luxury objects, so it is no surprise to find that they created a timepiece commemorating the Yacht Club de France, the oldest nautical club in France and one of the most important yacht clubs in the world. Charmingly, the word 'Yacht' is misspelled as 'Yacth' on the watch's bezel.
