Inspired by the perpetual calendar with retrograde date reference 5159 and launched in 2013, the reference 5160 is an extremely fine upgrade of its predecessor, featuring a fully engraved case detailing to even the clasp and the screws. Patek Philippe have become the master of rare handcrafted pieces, and this is fine example of such craftmanship, being completely finished by a single artisan’s hand, the 5160 exhibits a breathtaking pattern inspired by a pocket watch from Patek Philippe’s very own Museum.
Also inspired by a pocket watch is its “Officer Case”, featuring a hinged case back allowing the meticulous movements to be revealed. Seamless and exceptional, the reference 5160 is an incredible showcase of Patek Philippe’s artisan engraving techniques, with every example crafted individually and unique in its own way.
