Much inspired by Maman, a giant spider sculpture created by Louise Bougeois in bronze, stainless steel and marble, the present clock is designed with a highly unusual concept in collaboration with L’Epée. The torso of the spider is outfitted with a black polished dome displaying the hours and minutes, while the head houses the regulator with its oscillating balance wheel. Further enhancing the clock, L’Epée has developed an innovative system enabling Arachnophobia to be clipped to a wall or stand on a table with its eight legs attached to the body by ball-and-socket joints.
Offered complete with all original accessories, the present clock is a sculptural statement piece.
