Ever since he was a children, French watchmaker Vianney Halter has been fascinated by machinery and locomotives. As a train captain his father would often bring home mechanical parts and engines, nurturing his passion which eventually lead to a career in watchmaking.
Literally resembling a gold ingot, the present Trio Grande Date is inspired by Vianney Halter's fascination towards solid matter. It displays a double-aperture date indication on the rectangular case, with the date setting function completely independent from the time setting function. This in turn allows the date to be quick-set without affecting the delicate components of the movement. Displaying a futuristic steam-punk aesthetic, the present watch is a monumental relic of Vianney Halter's watchmaking universe.
