Condition Report

Good overall condition, consistent with age and use.

Dirt throughout the surface. Some scratches, more visible on the central part of one panel.

Traces of adhesive tape. On one panel, close to the base, one lack of lacquer, some cracks and some lifting of lacquer. Only two panels are lacquered in red on the back.

Catalogue Note

Mr Leleu owned a prestigious fabric company. His appartment in Paris, avenue Hoche, was completely furnished by Eugène Printz with the help of Jean Dunand for lacquered pieces. M. Leleu's appartment was reproduced in the article from Mobilier et Décoration of 1948 dedicated to Eugène Printz's work after his death.


[M. Leleu était le propriétaire d'une maison de tissu prestigieuse. Son appartement de l'avenue Hoche fut entièrement décoré par Eugène Printz avec le concours de Jean Dunand pour les réalisations laquées. L'appartement de M. Leleu figure dans un article du périodique Mobilier et Décoration en 1948 dédié à l'oeuvre d'Eugène Printz suite à son décès]
