Overall in very good condition. This iconic table lamp model by François-Xavier Lalanne offered en suite with the previous lot and provides collectors with the opportunity to acquire a complementary pair of this playful design. The zinc surface presents with surface irregularities and minute pinholes which are inherent to the making. The surface is enhanced with thatched patterns executed by the artist. The recessed areas with occasional and extremely minor discoloration concentrated to the legs and not visible unless closely inspected. The frosted glass with a highly textured and dynamic surface which presents with surface irregularities inherent to production. The glass with minute air bubbles which are also inherent. The top of the shade with a very minute ding to the glass, not visually distracting.
Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
