Overall in very good condition. The heron comprising the base of the console presents with a spectacular presence which encapsulates the sculptural artistry of its maker. The patinated bronze surfaces present with very minor surface irregularities casting flaws inherent to production as well as light surface scratches throughout. The patina with occasional and minute areas of losses which partially reveal the bronze undersurface, the most prominent on the bird’s head which is not visually distracting. The metal with some light oxidation throughout adding subtle copper hues to the patina and blending very nicely with the darker surfaces overall. The marble plate appears to be original to the piece and has been professionally polished and presents with very minute surface scratches and extremely minute abrasions to the surface concentrated to the top.
