Overall in very good condition. The table appears to retain its original dark finish which is in beautifully preserved condition, displaying only some occasional scattered and minor surface scratches, abrasions, dents and light wear consistent with age and gentle use. The edges of the table throughout, including the table top, legs, edges of the through-tenons, and of the shelf, with slightly more concentrated abrasions and dents with some occasional minor losses, consistent with age and use. The tabletop has been cleaned by a professional conservator and presents very well overall. The wood is beautifully figured and presents with some occasional minor surface irregularities which are inherent to the natural texture of the wood. The lower shelf with a small, slightly more pronounced dent to one side, only visible upon close inspection. An extremely elegant and functional work with great scale.
