Overall in very good condition. The wood surfaces throughout with scattered minor surface scratches and abrasions throughout consistent with age and gentle use. The fir with some occasional irregularities and separations to the wood grain, which is typical of inland fir and most of which were filled in by the artist at the time of production. The burl of the proper left front foot with a small surface loss measuring approximately 1 inch in diameter with an adjacent small area of surface wear, not visually distracting. The leather has been sensitively replaced at some point in the history of the piece and is in excellent condition with some occasional minor areas of wear. The cushion fasteners are all in very good and stable condition.
