the body densely decorated with four large lotus blooms, wreathed by leafy scrolls, interspersed with stylised kui dragons and bats suspending endless knots and bats, the waisted neck similarly moulded with decoration, flanked by a pair of stylised kui dragon handles, the base incised with a six-character seal mark

26.9 cm, 10 ½ in.

The pure whiteness of the glaze and crisp moulded decoration on the vase closely relate to that on a Daoguang reign-marked white-glazed moulded marriage bowl included in the exhibition Imperial Porcelain of Late Qing from the Kwan Collection, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, 1983, cat. no. 82, originally sold in these rooms, 26th November 1980, lot 339, again at Christie's Singapore, 30th March 1997, lot 307, and more recently in these rooms, 4th April 2012, lot 3114.
