Cig Harvey

"Cig Harvey came into my Aspen gallery and showed me her work in 2004. I realized immediately that her body of work was made up of compelling small stories and at that time she herself was a character in her stories. I agreed to represent the work immediately and was the first AIPAD member to represent her. I helped advise her with edition size and price structure. In time her stories changed to focus on her daughter and others in her world. Books followed and quite a few images sold out entirely. The Pomegranate Seeds, Scout, Rockport, Maine, 2012 is one such image. I felt it was time for one of her best images to be represented in the auction market where heretofore the artist has not been recognized so I chose this print from my personal collection of Cig Harvey's work to include in this auction." - Joel Soroka
