"The Weston Gallery is one of the oldest photographic galleries in the world, emphasizing works we feel are important to the overall history of photography. We've selected this group by David McDermott & Peter McGough for this very reason. The work is a fitting symbol, beckoning us to be open in times of change, to adapt and experiment in our daily lives as they do in their method. 'We were experimenting in time,' says McDermott, 'Trying to build an environment and a fantasy we could live and work in.' The contemporary duo is known for their work in various mediums, exploring alternative historical processes like cyanotype, bum bichromate, platinum, salt, palladium and approaching subjects of popular art and culture, medicine, advertising, time, fashion, sexual behavior, and politics." - Davi Weston
Established in 1975, the Weston Gallery is a world leader in the field of fine vintage and contemporary photography. They emphasize those works which they feel are important to the overall history of 19th, modernist and 20th, as well as contemporary photography.
