“French artist and photographer Georges Rousse, working at the intersections of painting, architecture and photography, has created his one-of-a-kind installations and photographs around the globe. Using space as his raw material, Rousse converts abandoned locations into almost spiritual visions of color and shape, translating his intuitive, instinctual readings of space into masterful images of several “realities. In 2018, Sous Les Etoiles Gallery has for the first time commissioned the artist given him free rein to the artist to create an installation within its space.” – Corinne Tapia
Founded by Corinne Tapia, Sous Les Etoiles Gallery is a contemporary exhibition space specializing in fine art photography and photo-based art. The gallery represents a wide range of emerging and established photographers whose practices include landscape and architectural installation, abstract and concrete photography, experimental mixed media works, and social documentary. Sous Les Etoiles Gallery represents the estate of the late Cuban photographer Alberto Korda.
