Description
Taylor 1955
u. 2 just into neck, 1 vts, labels scuffed and slightly damaged, only small remnants left of wax capsules
Quite a muted nose. Touch animally. Very imposing taste, but spirit more in evidence than in some. A bit of a "burn" at the end. Another bottle was gentler, but older. Then, in 2008 and in magnum, it was absolutely divine, velvety, seamless and, on this showing, one of the great Ports of all time. It just rolled round the mouth and unfurled in endless layers.
