Excellent level, label very slightly soiled and very slightly scuffed

72% Cabernet Sauvignon in this vintage. In 2019, we drank it with the 1989 and there was all the family resemblance between the two. The 1988 structure has softened, while retaining the depth and glorious aromatic dimension of First Growth Pauillac.
