DIAMOND COMPACT, BOUCHERON, 1940S

Of rectangular form, the lid and base with a pierced pattern of stylised lotus motifs, the edges engraved with geometric borders, the thumbpiece set with single-cut diamonds, opening to reveal a mirror and powder compartment, the lid with similar geometric engraving, measuring approximately 80 x 65 x 10mm, signed Boucheron, numbered, French assay mark and maker's mark.
