題跋:

(陳繼儒)唐文皇石刻昭陵六馬,故子孫多馬癖,代宗有九花虯,德宗有神智驄、如意騮。飾以黃金勒,控以紫玉鞭,豢以一品料。故其圖流傳人間,歌詠不絕。此卷唐人筆,題跋剪截已去,幸人馬尚爾平安,無錫王麟郊先生世藏,其孫福州守曼修公能永護之,環回諦玩,姿態毛骨如生,所謂寫渥窪之狀,不在水中,移騕褭之形,出於天上。定為曹霸所作,即公麟輩未能與之絕塵而爭驅也。雲間陳繼儒題於頑仙廬。鈐印:「眉道人」、「陳繼儒印」

(王永吉)此卷予既請眉公先生題識,信其筆法之妙非近代丹青家所辨。獨云:出自唐人手,未有確據,考其楮尾印章二:一「任氏子明」,一「月山道人」。暇日偶閱李九疑紫桃軒雜綴,廼知為元人任水監也,按雜綴云:元任仁發,字子明,號月山,世居松之青龍鎮,年十八中鄊試貳,都水監開江置閘,凡水議,仁發主之。善繪事,嘗奉旨入內畫《渥窪天馬圖》。所著有水利書十卷。今人止稱任水監,畫馬蓋以藝掩云。然則任以畫馬得名甚著,而眉公未及詳核,因附記於此。崇禎壬申 (1632) 二月之七日,輞川館主人記。
