Gehrig, Lou
1934 Goudey #37 Lou Gehrig PSA Near Mint-Mint 8
Baseball card (72 x 61 mm). Slabbed and graded NM-M 8 by PSA, certification no. 02105983.
In 1934, Gehrig finally emerged from the prodigious shadow of Babe Ruth, who was finishing his last season with the Yankees. Rising to the occasion in spectacular fashion, Gehrig captured the American League Triple Crown with 49 home runs, 165 RBI and a .363 batting average, while striking out only 31 times. On this card—one of the most desirable of the Iron Horse—Gehrig seems to grin with well deserved self-satisfaction.
