Contemporary calf, gilt-tooled border; spines renewed, corners and edges worn. Brown buckram clamshell case.
First edition, first issue, of Boswell's masterpiece, with "gve" for "give" in volume 1, page 135, line 10. A clean, wide-margined copy.
