signed PAUL FISCHER (lower right)

oil on canvas

canvas: 29⅝ by 22⅝ in.; 75.2 by 57.5 cm

framed: 36½ by 29½ in.; 92.7 by 74.9 cm

Oil on unlined canvas, not examined out of the frame. The surface is in generally fair condition, though there is a large area of water damage in the lower half of the composition that has resulted in paint shrinkage and scattered losses. Minor frame abrasion along upper edge. Under UV light, the surface is obscured by a green-fluorescing varnish and original pigments fluoresce throughout. No apparent retouches.

Framed in a gold frame with floral motifs. Ready to hang in its current state.
