Portrait of a Man with an Attendant

signed with monogram lower centre

pencil and pen and ink, heightened with gouache on paper

Paper: 36 by 26cm., 14¼ by 10¼in.

Framed: 57.5 by 47.5cm., 22¾ by 18¾in.

The sheet has been hinged to the mount along the upper edge. There are some signs of abrasion, primarily in the lower left corner (possibly related to the artist's cross-hatching). There are scattered spots of foxing on the mount and mat however these do not appear to be affecting the composition itself. Otherwise this work is in good overall condition.
