Probably William Brockbank of Brockhurst, Didsbury, Manchester and sold by his executors, Christie's Manson & Woods, London, 27 February 1897, lot 41;

Bonhams, Chester, 16 March 2011, lot 482

Poynter painted two watercolours of Hardraw Force, England's largest unbroken waterfall, the present one in 1872 and another two years later from a slightly different perspective and with two female visitors for scale rather than the lone male spectator. The second picture was probably the example exhibited at the Dudley Gallery in 1874.
