This delightful marble of an irate girl trying to shield her cats from a small dog appears to have been made in Carrara for the international market, as is suggested by the inscription identifying Alberto Vignes of Buenos Aires. Sanguinetti is the surname of several sculptors active in late 19th-century Carrara.
