JEAN ORTIS | RECLINING NUDE

Jean Ortis, who was active at the start of the 20th century, has a number of models of female nudes to his name, which all show influences of the Art Deco style. Surprisingly, not much else is known about this sculptor, aside from his collaboration with the Susse foundry on two of his bronzes. The present marble has a particularly beautiful original surface.
