GEORGES-CHARLES COUDRAY | LES NÉNUPHARS (WATERLILIES)

Imbued with an air of Art Nouveau, this beautiful bust is a rare marble version of one of Coudray's most successful compositions. The model was presented by the artist at the Paris Salon of 1899 and executed primarily in terracotta and ceramic. 

A student of Alexandre Falguière and Henri Allouard, Georges Charles Coudray exhibited at the Paris Salon between 1882 and 1903. He was particularly known for his Orientalist statues, busts and medallions.
