CHURCHILL, SIR WINSTON
The People's Rights. Hodder and Stoughton, 1910

"All issues of The People's Rights are extremely scarce" (Cohen). This collection of campaign speeches was printed and cheaply after the Liberal success in the General Election of December 1909 - hence the delicate condition of the few surviving copies. Churchill stood as a member of the Liberal Government and the title is a reference to Lloyd George's controversial and important "People's Budget" of 1909.
