Mattia Bonetti’s “Eclats” (“Shards”) Vase is a robust and whimsical form. Its intentionally jagged aperture and foot, referencing the work’s title, create an amusing contrast with its perfectly round body, imparting the vase with strong dynamism. The work of Mattia Bonetti is included in numerous public collections, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
