the Daoist God of Immortality seated on a kang-form base, with characteristic high domed forehead, thick unruly brows and long beard, the hair tied back and falling down the back in two sections, dressed in long robes with the left arm partially outstretched holding a scroll, a small attendant to one side, gilt in areas including the deity's wrinkled forehead and scroll (2)
