The canvas is original and undulates. There are small patches of abrasions towards the extreme edges and corners with some associated loss in areas. There are scattered instances of very fine lines of reticulation, only visible upon very close inspection with a few tiny dots of associated loss in areas. There is light dust, dirt and studio detritus to the surface of the work and some instances of accretions. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Inspection under Ultraviolet light does not appear to reveal any signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is presented in a simple wooden frame.
