The arms are those of Smith-Barry, of Foaty, Co. Cork. Foaty (Fota), a Regency mansion of 70 rooms was expanded by architect Sir Richard Morrison (1767-1849) and his son Vetruvius Morrison (1794-1838), now restored and taken over by the Irish Heritage Trust. The estate contains famous gardens, a wildlife park, and the Fota Island Resort and Golf Club.
