A MEISSEN PLATE OR STAND, CIRCA 1725
painted with a central bird surrounded by small winged insects, within bunches of flowers tied by ribbons suspended from the rim around the cavetto, the underglaze-blue diaper-patterned rim reserved with four gilt-edged cartouches of European hunting scenes, the reverse with two large trailing flowering branches painted with large green leaves, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue
