Edward Cornelius Farrell first registered a mark in 1813 but is recorded as a working silversmith from 1805. He was most productive when supplying quantities of plate to the entrepreneur Kensington Lewis who exploited the growing market for antique plate both of the 17th and 18th century, and whose chief client was the king’s son, Frederick Duke of Sussex.
