two shades engraved L.C.T.; one shade engraved L.C.T. Favrile
base impressed TIFFANY STUDIOS/NEW YORK twice
49⅞ in. (124.1 cm) high
22½ in. (57.2 cm) wide
Overall in very good condition. The four “Tulip” shades comprise a well-matched set with strong iridescence. The shades each with some scattered minor edge flecks and chips to the lower edges and with some scattered minor and fine surface scratches throughout, consistent with age and gentle handling. One shade with a slightly larger chip to the lower edge measuring approximately ½ inch wide, not visible when the shade is assembled. The glass surfaces with some occasional areas of adhesive residue and remnants of old paper labels. The base features a period Tiffany four-light kerosene-burning candelabrum retrofitted to a period Tiffany floor base; the candelabrum and base therefore display slightly different patinas and the candelabrum is very subtly misaligned to the base, only visible upon close inspection. The bronze surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and discolorations throughout consistent with age and gentle handling. The rod and foot with some scattered corrosion to the metal surface consistent with age. The feet are slightly misaligned and may require slight bending at the buyer’s discretion to ensure stability of the candelabrum in the setting where it is displayed. One foot with an area of white house paint residue.
